Camp NaNoWriMo 2022

Camp Nano

Hello all! This is just a brief post to let you know that I’ll be participating in Camp NaNoWriMo this year!

What’s Camp NaNoWriMo? Camp NaNoWriMo is a writing event that happens in April and July. It’s different from NaNoWriMo in November because you can work on any type of creative project, not just a novel. First drafts or revision, scripts or stories or poems or essays—all are welcome! Just set a goal and get writing.
More information can be found here on what this event is and how to participate.

I’ve participated in Camp on and off since 2015, but this year, I’m particularly excited to try outlining three novel ideas that have rattled in my brain for the past three years. I find, as someone who has a hard time focusing, that jumping between ideas keeps me excited about each one instead of bored and distracted.

Anyone else participating in Camp NaNo this year? If so, what’s the plan this year?

If you’d like a writing buddy, I’m MirrorMirror on the NaNo site!

Camp NaNoWriMo 2016

Hello folks,

It’s that time of year again! And I’m two days late to welcome it. Oh well, it was Canada Day July 1 and  a Lazy Day (TM) yesterday so those are my excuses! This July, I hope you all know what you want to write for the month and I hope you all succeed!

This is the first year I’m doing Camp NaNoWriMo! I’ll be outlining a high fantasy/magical realism/detective crime novel I’d like to work on, called “Contractor” that is set in a land called Yeulin in an Industrial Age-esque time where my protagonist is suspected of murder and has to use her skills as a Contractor–essentially a private investigator–to clear her name and uncover the secret behind a newly discovered magic found at different crime scenes across the land.

I’ve had this story in my head since last May so I’m so excited to finally put it down on e-paper!

Best of luck,

S&R
