For as long as I can remember, fantasy and sci-fi books have always captivated me, partially because it’s an escape and partially because I love seeing how creative authors can get by using the elements of their story to drive home an important message. I’ve done a rapid fire book tag before, and I really love to do them ’cause they’re so easy and entertaining! I was tagged by Laura @ The Corner of Laura, so a big thank you to her!
The Rules:
- Thank the person who tagged you and link back to their post
- Link to the creator’s blog (thebookwormdreamer) in your post
- Answer the prompts below – all fantasy books!
- Tag 5 others to take part
- Enjoy!
Five Star Book
I try to be a little stingy with 5 stars so when I go to recommend books that blew me away, someone could see my 5-star rating and know I mean business. I really can’t rave enough about The Poppy Wars trilogy and I’m anxiously awaiting the last book to see the epic conclusion!
Always Going To Recommend
This should in no way be a surprise to anyone who checks out my book tag posts. If I can squeeze Tess of the Road into any prompt, I definitely will try! As I alluded to in my review, I’m pretty sure I was put on this Earth to evangelize about this book, so it will always be a top recommendation.
Own It But Haven’t Read It Yet
The size sort of intimidates me but the summary is so slapstick and intriguing that I might as well bite the bullet and pick it up soon.
Would Read Again
As I said in my “Top 5 Wednesday: Favorites You’d Like to Revisit” post, I really want to revisit the world of the Witchlands, as the plot has becomes so much more intricate since the first book, and I want to be ready for the conclusion!
In Another World
Despite the terrifying creatures and necromancers, the world of the Old Kingdom is really interesting and I would love to be able to control runes!
Back On Earth
I don’t read a whole lot of urban fantasy, or any sort of fantasy set in the real world. I’d count Fifteen Dogs because it isn’t every day Greek gods give animals human consciousness for shits and giggles.
I tag you!
Where to Find Me

Thanks for the tag 🙂 I’ve been wanting to read The Poppy War for YEARS now. I love the cover of Tess of the Road. I’m going to look further in to it 🙂 Jen

What a fun tag!! I’ve been meaning to read Tess of the Road, but worried I wouldn’t like it as much as the Seraphina duology, but I think I just need to go ahead and do it 😀 Truthwitch is also high on my TBR and I can’t wait to get to it!

Oh my gosh, I really liked the Seraphina duology but Tess blew it out of the water!! It’s so good; I hope you enjoy it! Truthwitch is awesome, too! I just want more people to read my faves lol
