This is the first time I’ve been nominated for this award and I am so honoured!! A big thanks to Jenna @ Bookmark Your Thoughts for the nomination! If you haven’t visited her blog, you absolutely should; it’s so well-organized, so pretty and Jenna is such a warm, welcoming person!

Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter … which is your favourite and why?

Fall, absolutely! There is just so much I love about it; the chilly sweater weather, the all-pumpkin-everything, the falling leaves, the spooky atmosphere when October sets in. Also, weirdly, I also associate wool hats with autumn for some reason. Something about fall just makes me feel cozy and cheerful.

What’s a blog post that you don’t do enough and want to work on writing more of?

Let Them Read Cake is a series that I had sort of started last year where I would pair something I’d baked with a favourite book. The first post can be found here. One of my New Years resolutions was to pick up this series again but so far, I haven’t gotten around to it. Maybe with this whole quarantine, I finally will!

You are now a central character of story. What novel would you want to be apart of and what role would you play?

34606064._SY475_

Despite all the violence and uncertainty, I would still love to be apart of the world of the Green Bone Saga! I’d like to be a lantern (wo)man, supporting either the No Peak or Mountain clan (I’m not particularly loyal to either) in business meetings. But if I’m a central character, I’m most likely a Green Bone, though I’d be healer rather than a fighter.

What reading challenges have you done in the past? What’s your favourite one that you’ve participated in so far?

I’ve…never actually done a reading challenge before *le gasp*. I mean, if you don’t count the Goodreads reading challenge. And honestly, I don’t know if I can see myself doing one; I find them a little restrictive although I’m sure there are much more loosey-goosey ones. Maybe next year I’ll do some proper digging and find ones that won’t stress me out!

Who’s your favourite side character in a novel?

THERE ARE WAY TOO MANY. I have a (bad?) habit of liking side characters often more so than I like the protagonist. I’ll just list the first ones that come to mind:

You just won THREE wishes! What are you going to wish for? And NO — you can’t wish for more wishes!

Damn, that is so stressful. If I wasn’t going the route of fixing some of the world’s problems (end wars, no poverty, destroy capitalism, etc.) and instead was purely selfish, my three wishes would be (1) wishing to always feels fulfilled no matter what job I’m doing; (2) wishing to be a much better public speaker; and (3) wishing to always find time to read each day.

Would you rather only have the ability to read eBooks or hard copies for the rest of your life?

This would have been an easier decision a few years ago, but now, if I really had to choose, I think I’d go with ebooks only because I would have many more books to read, like indie books that don’t get the paperback/hardback treatment.

How did you come up with your blog name?

I don’t actually remember how I came up with it! I just really love sweaters and really like watching rainstorms from inside my house, so I believe there is nothing cozier than being curled up in a big, puffy sweater with a book while rain patters the window.

Name your favourite: food, colour, song, book, movie and TV show … GO!

Cooked eggplant, purple, right now: any song from Six the Musical, right now: Tess of the Road by Rachel Hartman, right now: Grave of the Fireflies, right now: Brooklyn Nine Nine.

Describe your perfect reading nook.

An alcove with a thick cushion, blankets, and a place to put a cup and a scented candle, against a long bay window overlooking flat plains so I can look out for miles. Also with a small cupboard to place the book(s) I’m currently reading, and a lamp for when it gets too dark to read by sunlight. I probably wouldn’t leave that spot for hours.

Time to tag some awesome people!

And here are your questions!

  1. Have you ever been to a book convention? If you’ve been to multiple, which one was your favourite? If you haven’t been to one, which one would you go to first, if you were given the chance?
  2. Favourite book couple?
  3. You’re stuck with one book genre for the rest of your life. What genre is it?
  4. What’s your zodiac sign? Do you fit with the stereotypes of your sign?
  5. Earth, fire, water, air. What’s your favourite element and which one would you want to have power over?
  6. If you could switch places with one character in a book/series and embody that character, who would it be?
  7. Were you always bookish or were you a “late bloomer” bookworm?
  8. Rant time! In three sentence or less, rant about your most disliked/hated book. Alternatively, you can rant about your most disappointing read.
  9. What book from your childhood left a lasting impact on you as an adult?
  10. What three characters would you not mind being quarantined with and what three characters would you desperately be..let’s say…”social distancing” from?

  1. Ahhh thanks so much for nominating me!! ❤ I’m honored!
I’m totally a fall person too – the aesthetic, the coziness, it’s all so good 😀 I relate to liking side characters too much. I also love Percy from Gentleman’s Guide! ❤ And your imagined reading nook sounds so lovely and cozy!!

  2. Thanks so much for nominating me! 😊 I can’t wait to try these questions!

Your reading nook sounds perfect and I am definitely guilty of getting overly attached to side characters too. I’m more of a winter person myself. I love the food, the aesthetic, the cosy fashions and, of course, Xmas!

    1. You’re welcome! Can’t wait to see you answers 😁

I used to be more of a winter person, too! I liked the look of snow and the snowfall, but I’ve found the coziness I liked in winter also in autumn and it didn’t come with the freezing temperatures (usually) :p

  3. YAYAYAYAY! I’m so happy you did this! And you so deserve the nomination! ❤ Thank you also for all of the compliments … you're so sweet! ❤

Fall — 100% the best season ever! I love being able to wear big cozy sweaters and boots without having to wear a winter jacket ha-ha! That series you used to have sounds really cute! I'd love to read those if you start them up again!

Reading challenge wise, I highly recommend you try the Magical Readathon by Book Roast! It's a pretty light one (you can make it as easy or as challenging as you'd like) and it's great whether you're a Harry Potter fan or not 🙂

Your three wishes are so creative! I love the first one — I should've thought of that!

Grave of the Fireflies — that movie made me bawl my freakin' eyes out …

I love the sound of your reading nook! Thanks again for participating in this! I loved reading your answers! ❤

    1. Thank you so much for the tag and for your kind words!! You’re a queen ❤️ it was so fun answering the questions! It was such a blast!

No doubt autumn is the supreme season 😆 it just has all the best qualities frankly 💁🏽‍♀️ thank you, I really want to throw myself into my baking again and why not pair it with my other favourite hobby!

You know what, I’ll check that readathon out! We’re a quarter into 2020 but hopefully I can still jump in; thank you for the suggestion!

Oh my gosh, same, GotF is such an emotional gut punch 😢 I’m a big studio ghibli fan so all their movies always makes me feel something!

      1. AWE! YOU’RE A QUEEN! ❤ I used to love baking … now I just hate the mess afterwards ha-ha!! I'm so lame … I know.

You totally can! It started the beginning of April but you could start now and just end it in 30 days.

Ya … I watched that in a class and cried so I was SO embarrassed ha-ha!

      2. Thank you!! Haha, the mess at the end is definitely my least favourite part 😅 but I always couple cleaning up with trying the end result so I make it enjoyable! I believe in you!

Oh it just started?! Even better!

This is why I was so careful about what I was watching during my classes 😆 it couldn’t be too sad or too funny!
